Fabio Barba

Currently the Sales Director of DEAS, he began his career as an Officer in the Italian Navy, completing his studies at the Naval Academy in 1995. He attended the 2nd Amphibious Qualification Course at the Marine Brigade, earning the specialization of Amphibious Officer. Assigned to the Marine Brigade, after commanding an assault platoon and company, he was responsible for supporting fire operations during amphibious operations.

He attended the 36th Forward Air Controller (FAC) Course at the Air Cooperation School and the Tactical Air Control Party Course at the Expeditionary Warfare Training Group, Atlantic, Norfolk, Virginia, USA. He was the first Forward Air Controller in the Italian Navy.

After completing his professional training in 1999 with a Master's in Command & Control Systems at the Marine Corps University in Quantico, Virginia, USA, he held the roles of Operations Officer, Security Officer, and COMSEC Officer at the "San Marco" Regiment. During his service, he participated in the UN/NATO operations Restore Hope – Somalia, Kosovo, and Alba – Albania 2.

In 2001, he left the Armed Forces to join Engineering Ingegneria Informatica, where he held several technical roles within the Defense, Space, and Cyber Security Business Area, eventually becoming its director in 2008. In this role, he was responsible for clients such as the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of the Interior, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, NATO, and international institutions involved in Defense, Security, and Space. He oversaw major national and European programs focused mainly on Maritime Surveillance and Security.

In 2023, he also took on the interim role of Commercial Manager for the Defense, Space, and Cyber Security Business Area and Technical Director for the Transportation Business Area.

In 2024, he left Engineering Ingegneria Informatica to join DEAS, where he currently serves as the Commercial Director.
