When we talk about hackers, we think of hooded shadows behind screens, dark webs and digital thefts. But there is another face, less talked about: the silent professionals who are quick to move between numbers and bits, capable of intercepting and defusing threats before they turn into cyber disasters. These professionals need continuous and high-quality training to best face their competitors. This is why in 2023 DEAS Cyber+ created the first “operational” Higher Education School on cybersecurity in Italy. The courses, aimed at military personnel and civilians, are transversal and capable of responding to constantly evolving training needs.
The mission of the Higher Education School is twofold: first of all, to guarantee excellent training on innovative and disruptive topics related to cybersecurity; secondly, to create a synergistic hub in which teachers and students can share information, experiences and skills. There can be no security without awareness, and “Awareness” is strengthened and consolidated only if there is knowledge sharing of best practices. DEAS Cyber+ works daily to improve its training offer, studying new programs and developing collaborations with the main Italian universities. In particular, DEAS Cyber+ has signed partnerships with the Universities of Bari, Florence, Sapienza of Rome, University of Pisa and LUISS Business School.
The DEAS Cyber+ Higher Education School, together with UNIPI, organized the “Advances in AI for Cybersecurity” Workshop, in which the Company specialists met with experts from the academic world, researchers and professors, on an important topic such as the application of AI to the Cyber context. Furthermore, the School organized the “Evolution of Cyber Security in the Defense sector: the impact of AI in the Cyber world” Seminar, hosted at the Centro Alti Studi della Difesa (CASD). The event featured speakers from several important institutional figures, including Father Paolo Benanti, former advisor to Pope Francis on artificial intelligence and ethics of technology, as well as a member of the United Nations Committee on AI; the Chief of Staff of the Italian Army, General Carmine Masiello, and Senator Roberta Pinotti, former Italian Minister of Defense.
